Compostify was founded on the belief that sustainability isn’t just a goal—it can be a way to effortlessly live our lives. We’re a team of innovators and environmental advocates committed to creating bioplastic solutions that break down naturally, leaving no harmful residue behind, while nourishing the earth in the process.

We believe that everyone should have access to circular products as part of their daily lifestyle. While many share this goal, we have been lucky enough to invent a natural plastic replacement that delivers on this promise. It is our intention to make this invention massively available and to simplify the end of life of our packaging in a way that is no longer polluting, but indeed is additive to the planet.

We invite you to take up this mission with us! We are kicking things off by targeting horticulture and garden products because this space lends itself beautifully to the strengths of our inherent compostability as well as closeness to soil and compost bins. We are also expanding to new partnerships to seek out new applications of our product to Compostify other uses of plastic. Stay tuned!

Steve Wilson

Co-Founder and CEO

Steve Wilson is a seasoned entrepreneur with over a decade of experience leading innovative businesses. As CEO of Compostify, Steve is committed to developing bioplastic solutions that empower companies to reduce their environmental impact through sustainable practices. Before becoming CEO of Compostify, he founded a successful SaaS company that supported over 400 IT service providers globally, driving operational efficiency through automation and hybrid workforce models. Steve’s leadership has focused on building long-term partnerships, including multi-year agreements with billion-dollar companies, fostering sustained growth. Outside of his professional pursuits, Steve served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at a local primary school and is also passionate about brewing, baseball, barbecue, and enjoying good food and fine wine.

Peter Wilson

Co-Founder and COO

Peter Wilson is a seasoned executive with over 40 years of experience across sectors such as forestry, aquaculture, tourism, and property development. As founder of Pinehurst Associates and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors, Peter specializes in governance, focusing on iwi development and environmental initiatives. Currently, he leads research at Scion to develop Compostify, a sustainable bioplastic solution. His commitment to conservation extends to his role with the Shorebirds Trust, where he has driven impactful partnerships and funding to protect endangered species, including the critically threatened New Zealand fairy tern.

Mutahar Glasgow

Co-Founder, CMO, Investor

Mutahar Glasgow is a seasoned senior marketing executive and co-founder of Compostify, committed to sustainability through innovation. With extensive experience leading marketing efforts for consumer and B2B companies, Glasgow has a deep background in branding, customer acquisition, and creative strategy. Notably, he has held executive roles at Glassdoor, Zapier, and EA, leading diverse teams, marketing strategy, and executive leadership. Alongside his professional pursuits, Moody serves as an advisor, investor, and board member, using his expertise to foster sustainable growth across industries.
